Embodying one of the most individual voices and viewpoints in contemporary music, Peter Mayer writes "music for the soul," according to Acoustic Guitar Magazine. His work has been praised as "breath-taking," "beautifully-crafted," "mind-spinning," and "transcendent."

All The World Is One, though released in 2010, could hardly be more timely today. Light-hearted yet with an underlying sincerity, it argues the oneness of our world with vigor and wit. This arrangement, in the original key of D major, follows the essentials of Pete's original arrangement.

Church Of The Earth is a new classic. Deeply-felt and Gospel-tinged, it persuasively urges our recognition of the too-often unrecognized holiness of this Earth. This arrangement, in the original key of E major, flatters a medium voice. It can be performed as written, or (as Pete performs it) with guitar (ad lib--chord symbols included).

Church Of The Earth for high voices. Choral parts are slightly rewritten to keep them in 'friendly' tessiturae for each part. Otherwise identical to the original, excepting the transposition, of course!
Church Of The Earth for low voices. All parts are transposed down, but otherwise this is identical to the original version--but deeper and more sonorous!
God Is A River persuades with vivid word pictures, delicious harmonies, and warm empathy for the human condition that God is 'not just a stone.' In the original key of E major, suitable for medium voices.
Text (Excerpt):
God is a river, not just a stone
God is a wild, raging rapids
And a slow, meandering flow
God is a deep and narrow passage
And a peaceful, sandy shoal
God is the river, swimmer
So let go
The solo voice-SATB arrangements use the same piano accompaniment as the Piano vocal versions in the corresponding keys, but add SATB during the chorus. Like the piano-vocal arrangements and the lead sheets, they are available in the original key of E major, in G major (higher voices) and C major (lower voices).
Solo vocal & SATB version in E major. Solo vocal & SATB version in G. Solo vocal & SATB version in C.Holy Now Voice & Tab for medium voice, in the original key of E Major. In some ways similar in theme to Church Of The Earth, Holy Now takes a more nostalgic, confessional approach to proclaiming the holiness around us. $10.00.

Japanese Bowl (Choral) for SATB & Piano, in the original key of Ab Major. Quiet, heartfelt and beautifully constructed, Peter's Japanese Bowl offers a powerful metaphor to urge self-acceptance in the face of life's challenges and trials. $12.00.

Text (Excerpt):
Over the doorway, painted bold
A question begs your pardon:
Is this a place of many souls,
Or just one very large one?
Text (First verse):
There are a hundred billion snowflakes swirling in the cosmic storm
And each one is a galaxy, a billion stars or more.
And each star is a million Earths, a giant fiery sun
High up in some sky, may be shining on someone.
And deep inside a snowflake, I am floating quietly
I am infinitesimal, impossible to see
Sitting in my tiny kitchen in my tiny home
Staring out my window at a universe of snow.
Text (First verse):
When it's late December, dark and cold,
Where is the light?
When old man year is bending low,
Where is the light?
When the sun runs off to bed too soon,
Where is the light?
And there's nothing but a skinny moon,
Where is the light?
